Established in 2015, SMK has built over a decade of experience delivering high-quality building, joinery and multi-trade projects. During this time, we have developed a strong reputation for reliability, quality workmanship and professional service, working across commercial, domestic and public sector projects of all sizes. Our workforce.
Our workforce is made up of skilled, experienced and time-served professionals, with the appropriate qualifications and training for the work they undertake. Where required, our operatives hold CSCS cards and relevant industry-recognised qualifications, ensuring work is carried out safely and competently. We also complete DBS checks where required by the client or nature of the project, with appropriate identification and verification procedures in place before operatives attend site. We are committed to ongoing training and development, ensuring our workforce remains competent, compliant and up to date with current industry standards and requirements.

Locally based, nationally capable. Based in Todmorden, SMK has the resources, experience and flexibility to deliver projects across the UK. Our local roots give us a deep understanding of the communities we work in, while our experienced workforce enables us to take on projects nationwide.
SMK Building & Joinery Contractors is a family-run business based in Todmorden, with over 15 years’ experience in the building and construction industry. We provide a wide range of building, joinery and multi-trade services to commercial, domestic and public sector clients across the UK.
Our experience covers new construction, groundworks, joinery, refurbishments, maintenance, heritage and residential projects. We have worked with established organisations including Mitie, the NHS, Perrys, local councils and housing associations.
